On March 19, 2010, the USCIS announced revised filing instructions and addresses for applicants filing an I-131, the Application for Travel Document.
Beginning March 19, 2010 applicants will have to file their applications at the USCIS Vermont Service Center or at one of the USCIS Lockbox facilities.
If you file the I-131 at the wrong location, the USCIS Service Centers will forward it to the USCIS Lockbox facilities for 30 days, until Monday, April 19, 2010. After April 19, 2010, incorrectly filed applications will be returned to the applicant, with a note to send the application to the correct location.

This is probably a silly question but I have this really nice logo
designed in photoshop that I want to use in flash but the problem is that everytime that I import this picture to flash I get that white background the picture was saved with.
Does ANYBODY know how to get rid of this background so that I can just use the logo?

In addition to contacting the law makers, we should be contacting the media to highlight our plight. I just read on IP that the media is unaware of the BEC mess (http://www.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=1406956&postcount=3019) and would be interested in taking it up. Hi, I have a H1B from company A stamped in my passport and it has been expired in sep 2005. I joined company B in march 2004 and I have their I-797 valis till Jan 2008. I am going to India to stamp it on the passport. Is their any issue with this ? I heard that if one is changing the comany, he/she has to stamp the H1B of the new company on the passport within 6 months or so. Please help.

All this means is that USCIS is now working to gather data for the 100s of FOIA requests send in the past week for EB3, EB2 data by country by year etc... :-)

1) 3 Years Bachelor degrees (B.Sc) in science from Andhra University,India
2) 2 Years Masters degree in science (M.Sc), Andhra University,India
3) Having 9 years of continuous software experience (prior to present employer)
Am I eligible to file Perm Labor under EB2 category?
The job with my company is EB2 eligible (Requirement is Bachelors degree and 7 years experience).
As per my education evaluation (done some time back for H1B), mentioned that my above 2 degrees are equivalent to Bachelors degree of science (BS) in USA.
Please provide your valuable suggestions/advices.

I need an advice.
Last year, I petitioned for my husband to get his green card and I was in a rush to get the application in before the application fee shot up, so I forgot to make copies of all the documents being sent to USCIS. Now, the interview is next week and I don't have a few of the documents that they want us to bring. It says that if already submitted, I don't have to bring in those documents, but I've heard that sometimes the interviewers still demands them during the interview.
Is there any way of getting the documents from USCIS or is it lost forever?
We will have the interview next Thursday, 21st of February.

The Department of Labor published a final rule, effective on June 29, 2009, that suspends the H-2A final rule published on December 18, 2009. DOL is republishing and reinstating regulations in place on January 16, 2009, for 9 months, after which the Department will either have engaged in further rulemaking or lift the suspension.

A friend of mine has submitted visa application fee and has made an appointment for visitor visa next week.
Can someone please tell if there is any other requirement of making a draft for some other fees during the Visa interview? (I am confused because a couple of years ago we used to submit one more bank draft during Visa interview)

I definitely want to see other D2x vs. 1DsMkII tests before making any conclusions about the resolution, but even assuming the 1DsMkII holds the advantage, I'm certain that it won't be visible in real world prints that aren't at extreme sizes. That was a fairly good review, anyway. :)

But I just submit I-765 (EAD) renew by 6/22/08. Now I found out my I-140 and I-485 are all approved. Can I revoke or withdraw I-765(EAD) from USCIS?
